Roses Before Swine: I enjoy telling stories through scenarios that combine angelic yet humorous animals and domestic objects. The painterly creatures transform the mundane objects into items of symbolic importance. In this work, a pig is the feature character in an allegory of gluttony and wastefulness. As the swine delights in a pile of rubbish, convincing product labels reinforce this expansive topic.
